AI Communication

AI communication is where an AI interacts with humans purposefully and directly to convey information, distinct from the AI’s contributions to a shared creative product.

In a co-creative drawing scenario, AI communication might be: “The house you drew is a little out of proportion. Would you like to fix it, or should I adjust it for you?” This is separate from the AI drawing a tree next to the house, which is a contribution.

Communication is the coordination layer. Contribution is the output layer. Conflating these is why many AI tools feel like tools rather than collaborators.
