Agentic AI

A paradigm shift from content generation to autonomous decision-making and task execution. Agentic AI systems are composed of multiple specialized AI agents that collaborate, communicate, perform dynamic planning, and allocate sub-tasks to achieve complex shared objectives.

Distinguishing characteristics:

  • Persistent memory across sessions and tasks
  • Dynamic task decomposition: breaking complex objectives into manageable subtasks
  • Multi-agent orchestration: specialized agents with different roles coordinating toward collective goals
  • Coordinated autonomy: emergent behaviors and adaptability in unstructured environments

This differs from single AI agents (which operate within bounded scope) and generative AI (which reacts to prompts without pursuing independent objectives).
