Worker Automation Desire Statistics (2025)
From a survey of 1,500 U.S. workers across 104 occupations (WORKBank, January–May 2025):
- 46.1% of tasks: workers express positive attitude toward AI automation
- 69.38% of pro-automation responses cite “freeing up time for high-value work” as primary motivation
- 46.6% cite task repetitiveness
- 46.6% cite quality improvement potential
- 25.5% cite task stressfulness
- 28.0% of workers expressed fears/concerns about AI when asked how they envision using it
Among those with concerns:
- 45.0% lack trust in AI accuracy, reliability, or capability
- 23.0% fear job replacement
- 16.3% cite absence of human qualities in AI
